Apple released macOS Monterey 12.2.1 today, a minor bug-fix update arriving two weeks after the release of macOS Monterey 12.2.

The macOS Monterey 12.2.1 update can be downloaded on all eligible Macs through the Software Update section of System Preferences. It fixes a bug that caused Bluetooth devices connected to Macs to drain an excessive amount of battery — some affected users saw their Mac's battery go from 100% to 0% overnight while in sleep mode after installing the macOS 12.2 update. The problem stopped when Bluetooth was turned off or Bluetooth accessories were disconnected from the Mac, which wasn't exactly an ideal fix for users.
macOS Monterey 12.2.1 also fixes a WebKit bug that could allow maliciously crafted web content to lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple says it's aware of a report that the issue may have been actively exploited, so Mac users should update to the new software as soon as possible.
