The waterproof silicone cover with an especially flat key profile can be sprayed, wiped, or even immersed in hospital-approved surface disinfectant. The ultra-flat key profile prevents microbial growth on contaminants and disinfectant residues in gaps. Depending on the hygienic requirements, the AK-C8112 is available with either a removable silicone cover that can be autoclaved for sterilization or a permanently installed membrane with an IP68 rating. The CleanFunction feature disables key input for cleaning, so you don't need to disconnect the keyboard. The AK-C8112 further features easy key orientation, light keystroke, and smooth tactile feedback.
